• Written by Robert John "Mutt" Lange and Shania Twain
• Originally performed by Shania Twain (born Eilleen Regina Edwards on 8/28/65 in Windsor Ontario Canada)
• Her parents divorced when she was only two, and when her mother remarried her stepfather (Jerry Twain) adopted her and gave her his name
• Her stepfather and mother were killed in an automobile accident in 1987, and Eilleen took over as the head of the household, performing at a local resort hotel to earn a living
• She caught the attention of record company executives and changed her name to Shania, drawing on her stepfather's Ojibwa heritage.  The name means "On my way"
• Released at the end of 1998, the song "That Don't Impress Me Much" was an immediate crossover hit, remaining on the charts for 20 weeks
• It was the seventh song to be released as a single from the 1997 blockbuster album "Come On Over", which has been certified as 20x Platinum, (any more they'll have to be talking Plutonium or some other equally rare metal)
• The album remains the biggest selling album by a female of all time, and the largest selling country album of all time
• Ironically, the album never hit the top of the Billboard albums chart, reaching #2 in 1999
• In total no less than 12 songs of the 16 on the album were released as singles
• That Don't Impress Me Much reached #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and #8 on the Country and Adult Contemporary charts
• It was her sixth consecutive Top 10 hit, and was her tenth Top 10 hit overall
• The song reached the Top 10 in 14 countries outside the US, including Canada, the UK, Germany, Australia, Sweden, Finland, Austria, and Switzerland
• Although still racking up hits, as of May 2008 Shania has over 31 charted singles
• She has sold over 65 million albums worldwide
• According to news reports on May 15, 2008 Shania and Mutt Lange have separated and are filing for divorce after 14 years of marriage
