  • The All-4-One version was the third most popular single of the modern rock era, staying at #1 on the Top 40 charts for 11 weeks in 1994
  • John Michael Montgomery's version was a #1 hit on the Billboard Country Music charts for four weeks, also in 1994
  • The song was awarded top honors by the Country Music Assn., the Academy of Country Music, & Nashville Songwriter's Association International. 
  • It won Grammy awards for best country song and best R&B vocal
  • It was named ASCAP's song of the year for two consecutive years and was named Billboard's No. 1 country song for 1994
  • The song is an excellent first dance song for weddings
