Oracle returned to the Fleet Reserve
Club in Annapolis Maryland in March for their first performance
there for 2004.
The crowd at "The Fleet" was always appreciative and enjoyable.
The setting, right on the water next to "Ego Alley", is stunning.

March also heralds one of those "special" party
days...namely St. Patrick's Day!
Oracle visited American Legion Post 175 in Severna
Park Maryland to celebrate this day when everyone has a bit of the
blarney in them and most things seem to be tinted green. Amazingly
enough, some folks even believe they saw a leprechaun at the party!
Head over to the
American Legion St. Patrick's Day Photo Gallery for more photos
from this really great party.

April found Oracle at yet another
American Legion, this time at Post 40 in Glen Burnie Maryland for a
luau with all the trimmings.
Yes, it was still a little chilly outside, but it was HOT inside
with lots of great food and the dance floor busy all night long.
Check out other photos from the
American Legion Post 40 Luau.

Oracle loves to bring folks
up on stage with us to play tambourines, dance, sing along, or just
have some fun.
Here are a few shots of
these sometimes cramped but always entertaining moments!
They are, clockwise from
above, American Legion Post 175, Perry's Restaurant, J&Js Afterdeck,
American Legion Post 40, and My Way Supper Club.

One of the major highlights of 2004 was
our performance at Andrews Air Force Base for the annual Joint
Services Open House.
Literally tens of thousands of people
attended this daylong demonstration of all things military, and over
2000 of them found their way into the Officer's Club to take in the
Oracle performance.
Of course the large attendance might also
have had something to do with the fact that the Army Golden Knights
parachute team "dropped in" in the parking lot right outside the
club, or that the Navy's Blue Angels (seen with the band in the
photo on the top) were in attendance, but we all know better, don't
we?

June is of course the
biggest month for weddings of the year, and Oracle performed for
over 25 weddings this past year. One of the most spectacular
places we performed was at Westminster Hall in Baltimore, where
Edgar Allen Poe is buried.
This magnificent wedding
reception venue was once a church, and is the scene where an unknown
black-clad someone who lays three red roses and a bottle of cognac
at Poe's grave every year on the anniversary of his birth. |

Not all of the weddings Oracle performs at
are the formal kind. This one we did in June 2004 was at a
marina in Annapolis Maryland, and as you can see, formality was not
exactly the order of the day!
Yes....that's the groom in the middle.
He looked a little disheveled after his groomsmen tossed him off the
dock into the water!
