Another
year come and gone, and now it's time once again for our annual "Year in
Review" pictorial retrospective for 2006.
It's hard to imagine a year going by as fast as 2006 did. Oracle
Band was so busy with clubs, restaurants, weddings, birthday parties,
weddings, holiday parties, concerts...wow...how did we manage to fit all
of this into one year, and find it so difficult to remember the moments?
While our fans like to look back over the year and reminisce about the
great times they had, we've got a surprise for you. The BAND likes
to look back even more and remember the wonderful times we've had with
our fans...the "Oracle Family".
So...hold onto your seats, 'cause here we go on a trip back in time to
review and remember all the events of 2006.

Let's go!!!

The year got off to a bang with the big New Years
Party at the American Legion Post 175 in Severna Park Maryland.
For the third year in a row Oracle was invited to
be a part of the annual bash for some of the best people in the
world...the members of the American Legion who have served (and
continue to serve) our country in the armed forces.
The Legion holds a special affinity for the band,
as we have been performing there for so many years we really do
feel like we're performing for family.
As with past years the event sold out early and
folks were scrambling for tickets at the last minute to be a part of
the festivities.
It was fitting that to kick off the New Year our
resident guest violinist Nikki
was on hand to help provide some musical pyrotechnics to the
festivities, with her rendition of "Devil Went Down To Georgia"
among other favorites.
2006 would see Nikki's performances with the band
increase significantly, much to the delight of the fans as well as
the band.

The band's very first performance after the big New Years bash was
at the Fleet Reserve Club in Annapolis Maryland. Although a
private club, Oracle has been performing there almost since it's
inception, and the folks there are always appreciative
Nestled directly on "Ego Alley" in the heart of Annapolis, the
club is picturesque and always an enjoyable evening.

In January Oracle returned for the first time in
over a year to My Way Restaurant & Supper Club in Laurel Maryland.
Shown here are some of the photos from several of
our performances at My Way during 2006.

As you are probably aware, Oracle performs for a
lot of weddings over the course of a year.
One of the ways we attract prospective clients is
by exhibiting at area bridal shows, including this one at the
Baltimore Convention Center.
In February (Super Bowl Sunday to be exact), we set
up our booth and were pleased to be joined by Mrs. Baltimore City,
who was making an appearance in support of her crusade against
domestic violence.

For the second year in a row Oracle was pleased to be a part of St.
Joseph's Catholic Church Valentine's Day dance.
In spite of several inches of snow falling outside the dance was a
spectacular success. We were a little nervous at first, given
the area's prepensely to cancel events at the first snowflake, but
these hearty folks know how to come out to enjoy themselves in spite
of adverse weather!
It's hard to believe that it was just one year ago at the
Valentine's Day dance in 2005 that marked Nikki's very first
performance with the band.
Boy how things change in a hurry!

Also in February Oracle was really pleased to
perform at the Gambrills Athletic Club Bull Roast in front of a huge
crowd of party people ready to dance their feet off.
The Gambrills Athletic Clubhouse is really huge,
and each and every seat was sold and there was a waiting list for
tickets.
The food was scrumptious...beef, oysters, all the
trimmings...it was a veritable feast. It's no wonder these
events sell out so quickly!

As February turned into March folks knew that there was one heck of a
party looming on the horizon...the annual St. Patrick's Day blowout
at the American Legion Post 175 in Severna Park.
This has become an annual event for the band, and in 2006 the day
was made even more popular by the fact that March 17th happened to
fall on a Friday!

The day after St. Patrick's Day we played for a
magnificent black tie benefit dance affectionately known as the
"Chocolate Ball.
A benefit for The Arc of Howard County, the sold out
event proved to be a major success, and the band was immediately
invited back for next year's gala.
We're looking forward to it!
