St. Patrick's Day Party

OK, so it wasn't ACTUALLY March 17th, the actual "official" St. Patrick's Day, but that didn't really matter.  The spirit of Ireland was all around, and anyone who have any misgivings about celebrating St. Patrick's Day on Friday the 13th needn't have worried, as the luck of the Irish abounded.

We knew things were going to be just fine when our good friend Tim and his wife Carol appeared after making the trip down from the suburbs of Philadelphia to join us.  As many of you may remember, Tim & Carol were severely injured after being run down by a car while in Mexico last year.  Tim had to have additional surgery recently to fix some of the problems related to his Mexican hospitalization.  It was good to see both of them back with us.

Interestingly enough, Tim & Carol, having travelled all the way from just outside Philadelphia to be with us, were NOT the holders of the long distance award.  That would go to our friends from Maricopa Arizona, Chris & John.  They moved out that way last year & we've missed them a lot, and it was wonderful to see them both again out on the dance floor.

The food was Irish to the core, with corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and Irish potatoes.  Yum!

And of course the dance floor didn't slow down all night.  It was a blast seeing so many of our good friends come out on Friday the 13th, knowing that any paraskevidekatriaphobics would be well protected by the luck of the Irish!
