With the temps averaging 95° to 100+° all summer, it was a welcome relief that we found the forecast high was only in the LOW 90s for a change as Oracle Band performed for the big IBEW Picnic & Health Fair at Camp Letts in Edgewater, Maryland.

Thunderstorms, some severe, were popping up all over the DC/Baltimore area, but Oracle Band and Mother Nature get along pretty well, so she spared us even the threat of rain, and for August in Maryland the turned out better than anyone could have ever hoped.

It was really cool seeing all the people dancing despite the heat.  Funny thing was, they weren't all right in front of the band.  Rather, they were spread out all over the grounds, and we could see folks strutting their moves in the dining tent, on the horseshoe grounds, next to the arcade rides, and of course on the deck in front of us.
