Oracle Band 2003 -
The Year In Review Continued (Page 3)
Oracle expanded horizons by performing for another American
Legion as word spread among the clubs that the band really drew good
crowds and got people dancing.
The American Legion Post 40 in Glen Burnie threw a Bull Roast in September, and Oracle was there to get the house rockin and dancin. |
|
The City of Laurel really took a liking to the band, and extended an offer for the band to perform for their annual "Riverfest" celebration on the banks of the Patuxent River on the north side of town. As you can see, once again we attracted even more young fans, who danced and sang with the band all afternoon. Also, Mother Nature threw a scare into everyone by raining all morning long, but by afternoon the clouds parted and the show went on. |

The end of the summer months means that it must be time for
the annual Farmington Village Pool Party!
This has been an annual event for the band for the last four years, and is always so much fun. Kids of all ages dance, sing, and play with the band from the afternoon and well into the evening. |
|
Nightclubs and concerts weren't the only places Oracle performed at during the year. A number of private parties and wedding receptions filled out the year, and as you can see the band cleans up pretty good in their formal attire. Despite the formal duds, the energy and excitement of the performance remain the same. It's always a party when Oracle hits the stage! |
|
Here's another wedding the band performed at in 2003.
The decorations used at some of these weddings are simply gorgeous, and
make for some great photographic props!
This one was at the Annapolis Yacht Club. |

Halloween!!! One of the great party nights of the year, and in 2003 it fell on a Friday night! Call it fate... The party that night was at Perry's Restaurant in Odenton Maryland, and the ghouls had come out in force to party the night away. The band picked up some Halloween songs like "Monster Mash" and "Ghostbusters", and it was a thoroughly frightful evening. |
|
In November the band brought yet another new club into the
rotation as they performed at Afterdeck Lounge in Pasadena Maryland.
This was a REALLY fun club with plenty of room and a good sound. The band will be back there on a regular basis and we'd like for everyone to check it out at some point, as it's really a hidden treasure. |
