The holiday season found the band very much in demand for company holiday parties...and so we donned our Santa hats and tuxedos and enjoyed playing holiday songs and watching folks enjoy the spirit of the season. Of course this was also a reminder that yet another year was drawing to a close, leaving us all to wonder where the heck the year went! As we look back on these pages it's difficult to imagine that we managed to fit all of these performances into a single year. Each and every show was pure pleasure for the band, and for the audiences as well. One of the secrets to the Oracle Band's success is that WE have as much fun (if not more) as everyone else. |

As the year drew to a close it was announced that bassist
Glenn Jones was going to have to leave the band. Citing family
concerns, work issues, and the hectic band schedule, it was clear to him
that he just couldn't keep up the pace with everything, so for the second
time in two years a search was underway to find a new player.
We certainly wish Glenn all the best, and we expect to see him come out every once in a while to sit in on a few tunes and let us know how things are going. We're going to miss you Glenn!!! |

Our search for a new bass player came to a close when Charlie Rundlett dropped us an e-mail after a couple of months of searching. Charlie's experience sounded almost too good to be true, but a couple of sessions later it was clear that we'd found the man to step in and take the band up to the next level. Charlie has already started performing with the band as we transition from Glenn to Charlie. The band is back in the rehearsal studio brushing up all of the old standards our fans have gotten used to, as well as bringing a fresh voice and some new material into the band. We're looking forward to an exciting 2004! Welcome aboard Charlie!!! |

The last performance before Christmas was at Jim's Hideaway,
where the band hosted the Oracle Holiday Party for all of our friends.
It was an evening that was so much fun...from the Corona putting green where you putted limes for prizes, to the new contest that will be in place regularly where winners get free drinks. Check out other photos from Oracle Holiday Party at Jim's Hideaway! |
