Halloween @ Perry's

The highlight of the fall season has to be the annual Oracle Halloween Costume party.

Hosted once again by Perry's Restaurant, the costumes were once again superb, as cash prizes were awarded for the ugliest, the most original, and of course the sexiest costumes.

Fleet Reserve Club - Annapolis Maryland

Veteran's Day weekend found Oracle performing for the annual Governor's Ball at the Fleet Reserve Club in Annapolis Maryland.

The folks at the Fleet Reserve Club have always been extremely welcoming to the band, and it is always a pleasure to perform there.

American Legion Post 175 - Severna Park

In November Oracle returned to lounge at the American Legion Post 175 in Severna Park.

As always, the folks at the Legion gave us a very warm welcome.  Coming to the Legion is like coming home to family. Due to our tight scheduling this past year we were only able to schedule three regular lounge performances at the Legion in 2007. 

With luck we will try and increase the number of performances there for 2008.

Holiday Parties

And so we move into December and the thick of the holiday season. We really love performing at Holiday Parties in that we get to meet many new friends that have never heard the band before.

It's unfortunate that there are so few weekends right before Christmas, as it seems each year we have to turn down more and more requests for us to perform.

Come Full Circle...

...And so once again we come to the end of another year, and we find ourselves asking yet again where the heck the year went.

Is it really that we're all just getting older, or has the pace of life increased so much that we are unable to fully appreciate each day as it comes?  OK, so we're waxing philosophical, but sometimes you just have to.

For New Years 2007-2008 we broke a bit with tradition and performed at Perry's Restaurant.  The folks at Perry's have been trying to get us booked for New Years for several years now, so we were really looking forward to the big party.

Folks certainly weren't disappointed, as a sold-out full house came out to usher in 2008.
